A las 09:30 (hora Sudáfrica) se realizó la Sesión Planeria de Aperutura de l Football For Hope Forum 2009. Este acto estuvo a cargo de las máximas autoridades de FIFA, entre ellos Joseph Blater, el Comité Organizador 2010 FIFA, miembros de streetfootballworld y el Sr. Willi Lemke de las Naciones Unidas.
A partir de esto se dió inicio al acontecimiento más importante del mundo en relación al fútbol como herramienta de inclusión y transformación social, reuniendo a organismos internacionales del fútbol, organizaciones sociales y compañias comprometidas con el desarrollo social.
